1. PURPOSE AND APPLICATION
This Code of Conduct establishes clear expectations for behaviour and interactions between students, parents/guardians, staff, and tutors at Prestige Education ABN 20 623 864 755. This Code applies to all activities conducted on our premises, online platforms, and during any Prestige Education-related activities.
By enrolling in our services, students and parents/guardians agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and understand that violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of services.
2. CORE VALUES AND PRINCIPLES
Our Code of Conduct is built upon the following core values:

3. STUDENT CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS
3.1 Academic Integrity
- Complete all assignments and assessments honestly and independently
- Do not engage in plagiarism, cheating, or academic dishonesty
- Respect intellectual property rights and properly cite sources
- Participate actively and genuinely in all learning activities
3.2 Respectful Behaviour
- Treat tutors, staff, and fellow students with courtesy and respect
- Listen attentively when others are speaking
- Use appropriate language at all times
- Respect different opinions, backgrounds, and learning styles
- Refrain from bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behaviour
3.3 Classroom Conduct
- Arrive punctually and prepared for all classes
- Bring necessary materials, textbooks, and stationery
- Follow instructions from tutors and staff
- Participate constructively in class discussions
- Maintain a clean and organised learning space
- Use electronic devices only when permitted for educational purposes
3.4 Online Learning Conduct
- Join online classes on time with appropriate technology setup
- Maintain professional appearance and behaviour on camera
- Use chat functions appropriately for educational discussions only
- Respect privacy by not recording or sharing class content without permission
- Ensure a quiet, distraction-free environment for online sessions
4. PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and reinforce the learning environment at home
- Communicate respectfully with all staff and tutors
- Provide accurate information about student needs and circumstances
- Ensure prompt payment of fees and communicate any financial difficulties
- Attend scheduled meetings and respond to communications promptly
- Respect staff working hours and communication protocols
- Support disciplinary measures and consequences when appropriate
5. STAFF AND TUTOR PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
5.1 Professional Competence
- Maintain current knowledge and qualifications in subject areas
- Deliver lessons with appropriate preparation and professionalism
- Provide constructive feedback and accurate assessment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development
5.2 Ethical Conduct
- Act with honesty, integrity, and transparency
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students and families
- Respect confidentiality and privacy of student information
- Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential issues
- Report any concerns regarding student welfare or safety
5.3 Communication Standards
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally
- Provide regular progress updates to students and parents
- Respond to communications within reasonable timeframes
- Use appropriate channels for different types of communication
6. CHILD PROTECTION AND SAFETY
6.1 Safe Environment
- All staff hold current Working with Children Checks
- Tutoring sessions are conducted in open, supervised environments
- Online classes use secure, monitored platforms
- Clear protocols exist for reporting safety concerns
6.2 Appropriate Interactions
- Physical contact is limited to educational necessity (e.g., demonstrating writing techniques)
- All interactions must be appropriate and professional
- Private communications between tutors and students under 18 must be transparent and educational
- Parents/guardians are informed of any concerns regarding student welfare
6.3 Home Tutoring Guidelines (if applicable)
- Tutoring takes place in an open, accessible area of the home
- A responsible adult must be present during sessions
- Tutoring is not permitted in private rooms such as bedrooms
- Written confirmation of supervised sessions may be required
7. TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
- Use technology responsibly and for educational purposes only
- Respect digital privacy and intellectual property rights
- Do not share login credentials or access unauthorised content
- Report technical issues or inappropriate online behaviour immediately
- Follow cybersafety guidelines for online interactions
- Do not record or distribute class content without explicit permission
8. PROHIBITED BEHAVIOURS
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disciplinary action:
- Any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination
- Violent, threatening, or aggressive behaviour
- Use of inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory language
- Possession or use of weapons, drugs, or alcohol
- Theft, vandalism, or destruction of property
- Academic dishonesty, including plagiarism and cheating
- Disruption of learning environments or activities
- Inappropriate use of technology or social media
- Violation of privacy or confidentiality
9. CONSEQUENCES AND DISCIPLINARY MEASURES
9.1 Progressive Discipline
We employ a progressive discipline approach that may include:
- Verbal Warning: Discussion of inappropriate behaviour and expectations
- Written Warning: Formal documentation of behaviour concerns
- Behaviour Contract: Specific expectations and monitoring plan
- Suspension: Temporary removal from classes or services
- Termination: Permanent exclusion from Prestige Education services
9.2 Serious Misconduct
Severe violations may result in immediate suspension or termination, including:
- Behaviour that threatens safety or wellbeing
- Serious academic dishonesty
- Illegal activities on premises or during programs
- Persistent violation of this Code despite previous interventions
10. REPORTING AND COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
10.1 Reporting Concerns
- Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to report any violations
- Reports can be made verbally or in writing to management
- Anonymous reporting options are available for sensitive matters
- All reports will be investigated promptly and fairly
10.2 Investigation Process
- All parties will have opportunity to present their perspective
- Investigations will be conducted confidentially and impartially
- Appropriate support will be provided to all involved parties
- Outcomes will be communicated to relevant parties
11. REVIEW AND UPDATES
